Tomorrow Ann begins filling in for me. She’s married to Cedric so if you haven’t read your writing before, you should know it’s going to be something. I really appreciate her filling in for me. She’ll be doing it next week and she is so kind she even offered to grab tomorrow because that’s when Elaine and I leave for Hawaii. Okay, I’m not the only traveler. There’s our celebrity in chief, after all. Kenneth J. Theisen grades Barry O’s trip to Russia in ” U.S.

While The Keys to Creativity: How to unlock your imagination and creative potential by Gary Bertwistle is not specifically aimed at hyper-creatives like designers, it is still worth a read. On initially picking up Gary’s book (I found it on a family members bookshelf while I was at their home), my first impression, after a quick flick, wasn’t particularly positive. Still, I ended up borrowing it from the afore mentioned family member and after a full read I discovered some interesting advice, methodologies and tools inside.

When Shuli Gilutz passes her iPhone to her 2-year-old son, she worries not about who he might accidentally call, but about what effects the invisible radiation might have on his growing body.Ms. Gilutz, a doctoral candidate at Teachers College at Columbia University, switches her iPhone to Airplane Mode to reduce exposure, just in case. Other parents, perhaps who have seen sites like Truthout.org or faked YouTube videos of cellphones popping kernels of popcorn, worry about the effects of radio waves on their children.

We have talked about some really great bad habits. Let’s assume for a second that your bad habits have failed and now you need to send in a cover letter. Here are some of the worst things you can do in a cover letter: Start the cover letter without a name Don’t bother trying to understand the employer’s problems and needs. Tell them what they need to know. Talk about what you want Leave everything in their hands to contact you. Everyday you can get some lessons in creating a powerful cover letter..

The simplest answer is yes. If you’re reading this post, you’re more than likely taking a look into joining Max or another MLM company. You’re probably skeptical about the whole ordeal, and hesitant to join. That’s a good thing. That’s smart. You probably think of MLM people as slick-talking, car-salesmen like low-life’s who push their products and junk on you. They make promises of getting rich overnight, quitting your job, and making insane money when they haven’t made anything themselves.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is a group of scientists from scores of countries that study the effects of climate change. Their findings have provided scientific backbone to policy debates about how much carbon emissions should be reduced over how long a period of time to stem the most dramatic effects of climate change. In other words, they are an invaluable resource to humanity. This is something that the Nobel Commitee recoginized when it awarded the 2007 Nobel

The Tennessee Democratic Party announced yesterday that they have hired Keith Talley, former U.S. Rep. Bart Gordon’s press secretary, as their new communications director. Sean Briasted looks at his resume and speculates about why he was selected. Tom Humphrey opines that the TNDP is going on the attack and has hired their own Bill Hobbs. I would tend to believe Sean Braisted’s analysis is closer to the mark, but if Tom Humphrey is correct I think it’s a big mistake for the TNDP.

I live in the DC area and I have a baby boy, so it’s only natural that scientists have now discovered that DC drinking water might be deforming baby boy’s genitals. WOOHOO! I stumbled upon this information when Mrs. Drew told me to read this article in the New York Times by Nicholas Kristof. This is typical. If there’s a piece of information out there that will make parents FREAK THE FUCK OUT, my lady will find it and tell me I have to read it and start worrying about it.

Ginsburg also worked for the ACLU, a front for the Rockefeller Foundation and Ford Foundation which cares more about “civil liberties” – code for “equal enslavement” – than constitutional liberties. Current ACLU executive director Anthony Romero is a CFR member and worked for the Rockefeller Foundation AND Ford Foundation . Former ACLU president Nadine Strossen (1991-2008) is a CFR member , as was her predecessor Norman Dorsen (1976-1991). The ACLU has ALWAYS been fronted by CFR globalist NWO scum.

A couple things happened this week got me thinking. The first was when I recieved an email from a friend. The subject line had A MUST WATCH VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!!! in it. The email claims the speaker is the new Thomas Paine. The video has gotten close to 4 million hits since it was put on U-tube March 16th. President Obama even called him and invited him to the White House. I have to admit this video is the most informative 6 minutes I’ve spent watching the computer in quite a while.

Arsenic sandwich anyone? Mercury soup, deadly nightshade surprise? No? Really? Well, I’m baffled! They’re all natural you know. And as we know, natural is good; natural is pure. Best of all, natural is healthy . Such is the creed that has grown up around natural products. You want to market a new range of face cream –- make sure everyone knows it is natural. You want your expensive new yogurt to sell –- include the word “natural” on the packaging. The word “natural” has become byword for purity, health and goodness.

CNN’s TruTV is currently covering the Brandenton, FL, trial of Thomas Fast , a former mortician . According to commentator Jean Casarez , the judge is pondering whether or not to admit evidence that would reveal to the jury the fact that the defendant is a trained mortician. The reason this is relevant is that the body of the murder victim (his stepmother) was found in pieces. The prosecution would like to let the jury know that the defendant is “anatomically knowledgeable,” so to speak.

3% of our DNA codes for proteins. For many years nobody knew what the other 97% was for. Since the 1970’s, that other 97% that wasn’t understood has been called “Junk DNA.” (If I only had a dollar for every guy who has sent me an email that said, “OK Perry, then if DNA is designed how come 97% of my DNA is junk? Huh? Answer me that!!!”) Today’s hypothesis is very simple: There is no such thing as “Junk DNA.” I will even go so far as to say the term “Junk DNA” is a piece of anti-intellectual, anti-scientific slander that has obstructed scientific progress for three decades now.

I get pitches all of the time from PR people and ad agencies. Most of the time, the pitches suck. Sometimes the only salutation is “Hi!” and there has been a time or two when someone else’s name was after “Hi”. Sometimes I get stuff that looks cool or is a something that I think others might be interested in but I’m not willing to spend an entire post on it. So, this is a link post of sorts.

It was a Rube Goldberg machine according to the handy placard beside it.

Imagine we construct a craft, and make a voyage out into the stars and encounter an alien civilization. Knowing nothing about them, we watch and observe them from the skies, using stealth technology, and catalog their behavior. First we encounter a large structure they’ve erected into the air and along the top we find some sort of symbol. We covertly enter the structure, hovering in their midst, but invisible, and watch them. We see them huddled up within the building, walking in circles, grunting. We watch as they seem to be taking turns dipping their heads into a pool of liquid, and then they roll on the ground.

A new study published in Social Science & Medicine says that parents who are trying to eat healthily as good role models may as well pack it in. That’s my interpretation, anyway. To be more precise, the study looked at 2,291 parents (aged 20 to 65) and 2,692 children (aged 2 to 18) in the U.S., and found little similarities between their diets.
