Steven Crowder goes to Canada and decides to test out Canada’s health care system for him self.

Drake Bennett’s article from this past Sunday made some waves yesterday. In it he outlines a few of the voices he sees as being able to pull conservatism out of the muck. Specifically he notes Luigi Zingales, W. Bradford Wilcox, Megan McArdle and Reihan Salam. Rick Moran has already provided a brilliant summarization of the article with his own commentary about each (save for Wilcox), and I am not going to bother you with a rehashed version of what’s already been done.

    Conservatives love to make fun of France and their health care system. I am not sure why. There were three recent articles I would like to look at in examining this. I will link to just two of them, as Yglesias has the entire Corner article quoted. First, Dennis Boyles from the Corner via Yglesias. The full quote….. “A couple of things you can learn if you’re in France: First, the meaning of “universal.” It doesn’t mean what you think if you’re a poor person in France, where “universal” health care is arguably better than elsewhere in the EU.

TOP TEN INDICATORS THAT YOUR EMPLOYER HAS CHANGED TO OBAMACARE: (10) Your annual breast exam is done at Hooters. (9) Directions to your doctor’s office include “Take a left when you enter the trailer park.” (8) The tongue depressors taste faintly of Fudgesicles. (7) The only proctologist in the plan is “Gus” from Roto-Rooter. (6) The only item listed under Preventive Care Coverage is “an apple a day..” (5) Your primary care physician is wearing the pants you gave to Goodwill last month.

This video should be a wake up call for anyone who is seriously pushing the Obamacare, single-payer option. I endured the Canadian health care system for most of my life and have posted on what life under this system is like several times before. We do not have alternative maternity care, so we do use the government system for that, but not by choice.I could ignore the inefficiency, long waits, and incompetence of our socialized health medical care, but the fact is that I don’t even want their answers anyway.
