We must not forget that Cap & Trade (American Clean Energy Security Act, Waxman-Markey Bill, Climate Change, Energy Bill, Global Warming, Climate Change) has not yet been voted on in the US Senate.  I’m sure it will rear up along with the summer heat, yet to come.  As usual, deals were cut to get support for the bill, passing in the US House of Representatives in June .

However, because President Obama–Nancy Pelosi–Harry Reid Democrats have moved so fast and far reaching in a massive expansion of government, it appears that conservatives will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to make major gains in the November general election, as well as in Democratic and Republican primaries.

Asked whether they “believe that man-produced carbon dioxide and other so-called greenhouse gases will induce catastrophic climate change” if unaddressed, 49.6 percent of the respondents said yes.

I’ve mentioned before that very few blacks are real liberals. They don’t care about liberal issues, just black ones, and vote for liberals because of the overlap. Obama, however, is a genuine liberal radical. He is every politics/sociology/history/literature professor I ever had. Blacks normally don’t care about environmentalism. Obama does – and Cap/trade is case in point. Look at the health plan he is proposing. Blacks won’t really benefit much. A huge number of them are in Medicaid.

Recent decisions by the UK government for serious investment in social change have brought up the spectre of spending money in bulk with the predictable results of another round of “Government spends X amount in wasteful spending of X amount” style commentary by the media..  It’s a traditional story, one steeped in time, mystery, and journalism macro-templates [1] As well as the problem of media misunderstanding social marketing (which is why definitions are important ), there’s also a tendency of media outlets to criticise government spending because it’s government spending which is assumed to be wasted money largely because it’s spent by government.

However, the press conference comes after at least 42 House Democrats have expressed either their outright opposition to or concern about the Democrats’ health care bill.
