Barack Obama makes Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton look honest by Bill Levinson We previously cited a Wall Street Journal opinion piece that openly, albeit politely, contends with evidence that Barack Obama is lying about his health care reform proposal. We have since then seen three additional opinion pieces, all in the prestigious Wall Street Journal, that use language like “obfuscate” and “simply not credible” to describe the President’s statements.

I feel like … dancing down the aisle at a wedding or something.A key House chairman and moderate House Democrats on Tuesday agreed to a White House-backed proposal that would give an outside panel the power to make cuts to government-financed health care programs. White House budget director Peter Orszag declared the plan “probably the most important piece that can be added” to the House’s health care reform legislation. But on Saturday, the Congressional Budget Office said the proposal to give an

The Eagles have the best record in the NFL during the Johnson reign of the last 10 years.

From The American Spectator : The American people in their unimaginable kindness and trust voted for a pig in a poke in 2008. They wanted so much to believe Barack Obama was somehow better and different from other ultra-leftists that they simply took him on faith. Well, 52% did. :D And now they are realizing what the rest of us realized all along. Now, the American people are starting to wake up to the truth.

This short spot contains some humorous moments from Monday’s healthcare forum with Russ Carnahan. It contains moments when the audience laughs at his assertions that the government run healthcare will pay for it self by the government getting rid of “inefficiencies” in the system. If you believe that….

One reason medical costs keep rising is the ongoing looting bonanza by slimy John Edwards-type trial lawyers. But an even greater problem is our rulers’ refusal to stem the tide of illegal colonists from the Third World that is literally sweeping our country away. Some testimony from Carol Plato, the director of corporate business services for Martin Memorial Medical Center in Stuart, Florida: Under ObamaCare, free medical care will be provided to anyone who walks across our unguarded border and demands it.

I remember being stupified when Ben Stein said he “couldn’t stop smiling” when Obama was elected. Judging from his latest article, it seems that Mr. Stein has stopped smiling. Fat lot of good it does the people who actually researched the candidate and the issues that the people who refused to do so are now waking up. Now that we’re gazillions of dollars in debt and our unemployment figures harken back to the halcyon days of Jimmy Carter. God only knows what is in store for us before the rest of the “facts be damned” crowd comes to its senses.

Unfortunately the last few days I have been starting (and continuing!) to feel ill with cold symptoms.

American Spectator : How Much Is a Year of Your Life Worth? By David Catron All advocates of socialized medicine, including the President and his congressional accomplices, believe that government-imposed rationing is necessary to control health care costs. Having little faith in the judgment of individual patients and even less in the workings of the market, they are convinced that only the state is capable of efficiently allocating our medical resources.

Recent history showed we couldn’t even trust a GOP Congress under Bush to control government spending. The past century of history reveals the myth of the conservative blue dawg Democrat. Blue dawgs are mostly drawl and that’s all , when it comes to final votes on major legislation, and yet, they are now Americans’ only hope to avoid, at minimum, a near decade long Great Recession prolonged by a government take over of the 1/6 of the economy that is health care.

One of the most readily understandable political calculus equations is the presidential poll: as long as a president is above 50% in the polls, he continues to hold a majority; but if he falls below 50%, he becomes increasingly irrelevant.  The nation is no longer behind him.  The lower he gets under 50, the more irrelevant he becomes.

It’s even worse than you think:The Democrats want to spend $1.5 trillion over a decade, impose an $800 billion tax increase in the midst of the worst recession in a generation, increase federal borrowing by $239 billion (on top of the $11 trillion the Obama budget already requires us to borrow through 2019), impose costly mandates on employers that will discourage hiring as unemployment nears 10 percent, force individuals to buy one-size-fits-all government defined insurance, and insert the government in countless new ways between doctors and patients.

Dr. Ada M. Fisher – Contrary to Rev. Al Sharpton’s proclamations at the public memorial for the fabulous singer, dancer and all around entertainer Michael Jackson, there was a lot strange about that man. My father the preacher said you should only say good things about the dead. So can we let the man rest in peace and get something else on our radar screens? The preponderance of negative images from Hollywood and the media are melting down our children’s minds.

So I’m sure that you have heard the number 45 million when it comes to health care.  Here’s the facts:As a number of clever skeptics have recently pointed out, breaking down the 45 million number reveals that far fewer folks are actually uninsured. Nearly 10 million of those 45 million aren’t even American citizens, and nearly 17 million of them can easily afford insurance, but choose not to get it (these folks will be taxed under Obamacare for opting out.) When the numbers are crunched, it turns out that only 11 million legal American citizens who would like health insurance don’t have it, and even that figure is likely high.

It’s surprising to me that more opponents of Obamacare don’t even mention the obvious Constitutional problem with nationalized healthcare. The United States government simply has no authority to mandate that its citizens obtain health insurance or face a fine.

President Obama’s health-care reform appears to be in increasing trouble. The costs, as scored by the Congressional Budget Office, would be horrendous,  public support is collapsing, and Congressional Democrats are at each-other’s throats over the issue. It appears increasingly unlikely that either house will hold a vote before the August recess, and that recess is likely to be a time when members of Congress will get an earful from the home folks telling them they hate the whole idea.

(Following is a good piece by Peggy Noonan on the WSJ site) This is big, what’s happening. President Obama appears to have misstepped on a major initiative and defining issue. He has misjudged the nation’s mood, which itself is news: He rose from nothing to everything with the help of his fine-tuned antennae. Resistance to the Democratic health-care plans is in the air, showing up more now on YouTube than in the polls, but it will be in the polls soon enough. The president, in short, may be facing a real loss.

American Thinker Michael Vick begins serving his community service at the Humane Society, next week, as a condition of release on his federal dog fighting conviction. I have a suggestion, providing of course that the Humane Society could spare him for a day. Send Michael Vick to the White House to explain to Mr. Obama that he does not have to have a dog in every fight to justify his presidency. In fact most dogfights are better left to other, lesser, race baiting professionals like Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Jeremiah Wright and now Henry L.

Barely six months into his presidency, Barack Obama seems to be driving south into that political speed trap known as Carter Country: a sad-sack landscape in which every major initiative meets not just with failure but with scorn from political allies and foes alike. Matt Welch and Nick Gillespie have painted a bleak picture for America’s future under Obama.

With the recent barrage of news on Obamacare, it’s been tempting to give into the idea that the country’s going to hell in a handbasket … down the tubes … on the fast-track to the crapper. Whatever vernacular you choose, you get the idea: All is not rosy. But then you see this headline: Christian mother executed in N. Korea for distributing Bibles , and realize how fortunate you are to be in a country where news revolves around health care debates not martyrs.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — According to the Congressional Budget Office, the 2019 non-Medicare population of the United States will include 14.1 million illegal aliens. CBO projects that up to 8.5 million of the 14.1 million illegal aliens in the United States in 2019 will not have health insurance, meaning passage of their bill will see to it that up to 5.6 million illegal aliens have health insurance – in large part because the liberal proposal does not include any requirements to verify the citizenship or immigration status of those receiving taxpayer-funded health benefits.

Health care charts have come a long way since just last week, when doctors had to go to all the trouble of flipping open a clip board to take a look at your status. The Obama-Reid-Pelosi proposed government run health care scheme gives a radically different meaning to “your chart” (as made famous in a Seinfeld episode, see script dialogue here ). Instead, your chart would look more like the one below: It is the chart that Speaker Pelosi is censoring House Republicans from mailing to constituents via Congressional mail .

Touted as the reason for Obamacare, that high number warrants a careful look. 45,000,000 is a deceptive number! Many choose not to be insured. The devil is in the details of the number: 700,000 are medicare eligible but have not signed for it. 21,500,000 uninsured involuntarily 16,000,000 uninsured by choice 9,373,000 non-citizens, many illegals. All this considered, healthcare can be made more inclusive without turning to a far more costly and controlling socialized system.

“The road to hell is paved with good intentions.” But are Obama’s intentions even good? Giving President Obama the benefit of the doubt, his intentions could be viewed as good. There seems to be a health care problem (caused by government intervention in the free market in the first place). But is there really a need to race forward with very bad legislation which in the name of a “fix” will surely create infinitely worse problems? Mitt Romney tells Obama: slow down and take a deeper look, because you don’t know what you are doing.

So far, nearly three-quarters of a million people have signed an online petition designed to let our congress know that they (we) don’t want a government controlled/government run healthcare system. c/o Michael Ramirez, IBD Editorials When you try to reform one-sixth of the economy of the United States, you better make sure you limit the number of mistakes made.  And the Democrats…well, they are certainly not limiting their mistakes. Reform is difficult, because changing long held entrenched belief systems are difficult to alter.  Health care is not an old boys network anymore, but there are things done in the health care system that no one would implement in a new system if starting from scratch.

I have to admit, this one made me laugh.  The only good thing coming out of this healthcare debacle is that liberals are seeing that Americans, not just “right wingers” don’t want the government interfering with healthcare. Here is a great example I saw recently. There is a poll running on Facebook asking people if they want government healthcare.  Surprisingly, the majority says no, which is a surprise considering how liberal social media sites like Facebook tend to swing.  Of course this isn’t a “scientific” poll, but I would bet this is how most Americans think.

Otherwise, he is making the same mistakes of blurring his proposal, catering to right-wing Democrats and corporatist Republicans, who want an even mushier “reform” scam, and cutting deals with the drug, hospital, and health insurance industries.

These attempts are enabling more and more Americans to understand the thinking and therefore the danger of the left. The left has its first president — with the possible exception of Franklin Delano Roosevelt — and for the first time controls the Democratic Party and both houses of Congress.

Here is the link to the bill … We had heard “chatter” about this provision and checked it out for ourselves. Sure enough, starting on page 424 with Section 1233 – “Advance Care Planning Considerations,” Congress is requiring “end of life” counseling sessions every five years for seniors. If that doesn’t send cold chills down your spine, then you should be concerned. Why our analogy to ‘Logan’s Run?’ Here’s a summary from Wikipedia: Logan’s Run is a novel by William F. OBAMA AVOIDS BIBLE VERSES !

Here are some Bible verses that Pres. Obama avoids:
Proverbs 19:10 (NIV): “It is not fitting for a fool to live in luxury – how much worse for a slave to rule over princes!”
Also Proverbs 30:22 (NIV) which says that the earth cannot bear up under “a servant who becomes king.”
And Ecclesiastes 5:2-3 (KJV) advises: “let thy words be few…a fool’s voice is known by multitude of words.”
Although Obama is not descended from slaves, he may feel that he’s destined to become a black-slavery avenger.
Or maybe an enslaver of all free citizens!
