Frank Bell just left a comment on another post regarding flag@whitehouse.gov. I just could not believe it. Some one named (supposedly), Macon Phillips, in the White House now wants you to report any email or web site which has information on health insurance reform that “seems fishy”. You are supposed to report them to flag@whitehouse.gov. This is from the White House web site .

Here is NewsMax.com video of Dick Morris explaining that he believes Democrats will try to “ram through” their Government Health Care Plan by using the “reconciliation process” in the U.S. Senate that would only require them to get 50 votes, with VP Joe Biden breaking the tie. This would violate the norm in the U.S. Senate, which using follows the need to get 60 votes to invoke cloture and bring the bill to a vote of the full Senate.

Finally the American people are pushing back at congress and President Obama saying no to Obamacare. However the White House is responding to the angry protesters “In fact, I think you’ve had groups today, Conservatives for Patients Rights, that have bragged about organizing and manufacturing that anger,” White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said. This is ridiculous. People have just had enough. This is not just republicans protesting. There are democrats as well as independents attending these town halls who are also protesting.

President Obama and the Democrats are so panicked over the outrage being expressed at Democrat town meetings they refer to the concerns and opinions of millions of Americans as “manufactured” and label protesting citizens expressing their First Amendment rights as “angry extremists” for voicing their opposition to President Obama’s government-run healthcare reform rush. President Obama is so concerned that he implemented an opposition surveillance program — Obama’s version of the President Bush era terrorist surveillance program — that is of questionable legality .

Yesterday conservatives publicized that the White House was recruiting informants on its blog to turn in emails and web addresses of those spreading “disinformation” on Obamacare, i.e., anything in opposition. Today Big Brother’s request remains up (click to enlarge)… … prompting Sen. John Cornyn ( R – TX ) to write a great letter to the WH reminding Obama of the First Amendment , requesting him to remove the request, and asking exactly what Obama plans to do with names, email addresses, IP addresses, and web addresses of people countering his healthcare disinformation.

Just 3 days ago Associated Press reporter Charles Babington , wrote in a “fact check” piece it is “not yet clear” whether abortion would be subsidized by taxpayers in the nationalized healthcare plan: CLAIM: Health care revisions would lead to government-funded abortions…. THE FACTS: The proposed bills would not undo the Hyde Amendment , which bars paying for abortions through Medicaid , the government insurance program for the poor.

I went back to the well last night, and wound up paying the price for it. After reading some positive things about Elia Kazan’s Man on a Tightrope , and checking out its anti-Kazan-y cast—Frederic March, Gloria Grahame, Alexander d’Arcy, who it kills me just to look at, and a needle-thin Richard Boone (as opposed to Eli Wallach’s Method-ist eye-rolling or Karl Malden sticking his alky’s schnozz at the camera)—that I gave it a shot. Ah, well, this movie-watching business is a dangerous game.

Here is video of GOP Sen. Olympia Snowe (Maine) on Morning Joe today where she characterized the Obama Administration’s attempting to push through a radical Health Care reform plan as trying to “railroad a process in an unrealistic time frame.” Snowe did not indicate how she stands on the legislation, but she has often voted with Democrats on issues. But at the least, she clearly sees the process Obama is trying to use as an attempt to “railroad” the legislation through Congress.

We’ve known it for years. Some would argue its always been the case – that Congress represents Corporations, Industries, and the Wealthy Elite NOT The People. For years Congress tried to at least cover itself with a veil of upholding the public interest. Now it’s just become an in your face pay to play system. The healthcare and pharma industries have gotten so desperate to protect their hundreds of billions in profit that they are actually busing thugs to town hall meetings for the purposes of being disruptive and stifling debate.

The DNC has laid out a new plan to smear and malign those who oppose Obamacare. They intend to paint you as members of a radical minority who have been paid by the insurance companies to disrupt town hall meetings. They call you “angry protesters” and label you as “mobs.” It’s all an attempt to marginalize and discredit you. Of course, all these efforts will backfire and only serve to enrage you further. 65% of Americans oppose ObamaCare so we’re not talking about a fringe minority here.
