By John Leo Nancy Pelosi is shocked by the presence of some swastikas at protests against Obamacare. Who ever heard of such a thing? Well, any mildly alert American old enough to remember the anti-war protests of 2003-2007. Images of George Bush with a Hitler mustache and a Nazi uniform was everywhere at swastika-choked marches and [...]

A “prayer vigil” sets the necessary tone and format for Congresswoman Laura Sanchez to express her own views on and fatal attraction for Obamacare, the full-blown single-payer kind (which Obama assures SEIU he seeks, too) without discussion or interruption and without a peep of interrogation by her constituents. The congresswoman’s transparency factor is about equivalent to that of the Berlin Wall, or maybe the Iron Curtain.

It’s been a while since I have done one of these, but Steven Pearlstein has proven himself more than worthy for the illustrious Moonbat Award for his column in which he refers to patriotic Americans who voice their opposition to ObamaCare as being “political terrorists.” Yep, that’s right, in his world view, dissent is not patriotic, but terrorism.

The news has astounded hardcore robotic followers of Limbaugh, listeners frequently referred to as dimwits, halfwits, the politically deranged, religiously pompous, and of course, ditto-heads.

Grassroots vs. Astroturf Philip Klein | The American Spectator Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and the White House have called opposition to Democratic health care plans “Astroturf,” while organizing their own “authentic” pro-Obamacare rallies at the same time. But there’s one important question I have, checking out these protest photos from Denver, taken by Looking at the Left (link via Holy Coast).

Hat Tip to Hot Air.Nancy Pelosi fatuously accused town hall meeting protesters of  ’sporting swastikas’ thereby labeling them as  Nazis. Steven Pearstein from the WaPo and Paul Krugman from the New York Times called them ‘political terrorists’ and ‘racists’, respectively. The Obamabots are scared.  They don’t like it when citizens push back. Dissent in the age of THE ONE will not be tolerated.  Obama’s edict of  “You know why? Shut up, that’s why”, will be followed or he’ll sic his media dogs on you. From Peggy Noonan:……And so the shock on the faces of Congressmen who’ve faced the grillings back home.

What’s with the unruly shout-outing at meetings with members of Congress? Why the uncivil mobs? The cause is a convergence of confusion, fear, ignorance, surrogate politics, communication fragmentation and cynical, strategic disinformation. No one, not even the members of Congress, can get their minds around this issue with all its moving parts. The result: Confusion, which well-financed interests groups are only too happy to nurture into fear.

Please be advised that your RSVP is not a reservation or a guarantee of a seat. The purpose of the RSVP is for the Senator’s office and Towson University to have an idea of how many people to expect. wow MSNBC has become nothing more than a sick joke. its a place where racial tension is crafted and produced. racism in this country does not exist in the large numbers that these people claim. but instead it is flamed and exagerated out of necessity. the democrats need the blacks in this country, or as i like to refer to them as, Americans, to believe the evil white man is against them in order to retain them as a permanent voting block. it just makes me sick what has happened to our media.

If one (a constituent, say) attempts to discuss this certain special topic rationally with a Dim politician or Dim holder of elected office, the person so doing is 100% guaranteed to be cursed, lectured, ignored, stonewalled, browbeaten, and now probably assaulted by Obama’s ACORN, SEIU, and/or Americorps thugs. The topic is Obama’s brainchild, Obamacare. Public opinion is obviously exploding overwhelmingly against Obamacare; but no Journalist wants to encounter the rath of the Dims by saying so.

When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty. – Thomas Jefferson The arrogant, elitist response of the Congressman to one of his constituents clearly demonstrates his mindset in regard to his office and the people who elected him to serve. This sort of arrogance and “in your face” attitude is doing nothing to dissuade the opponents of ObamaCare. It only strengthens their resolve and determination.

(Among his thoughts: “Freedom to keep your existing plan — This is the freedom that the President keeps emphasizing. Yet the bills appear to say otherwise.”) Fortune : President Obama has repeatedly reassured Americans that they can keep their existing health plans — and that the benefits and access they prize will be enhanced through reform. A close reading of the two main bills, one backed by Democrats in the House and the other issued by Sen.

Sarah Palin is weighing in on health care. She is at her best when using homespun fear tactics. Like when she scared people out of voting for John McCain. She writes:The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s “death panel” so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their “level of productivity in society,” whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil.“Such a system” is not up for a vote.

The federal budget deficit has risen by $880 billion to an unprecedented $1.3 trillion . Most of the increase is attributable to recent increases in federal spending , including Obama’s $800 billion stimulus package, which the Congressional Budget Office says will actually shrink the economy “ in the long run ,” and which ended welfare reform , destroyed thousands of jobs in the export sector, and replaced investments in infrastructure with welfare.

Tort Reform is not for Dingell and Congress – these idiots are all lawyers or lawyer wannabees. Congressman John Dingell holds a Town Hall meeting on August 6thm 2009. The latest protests against state-run medical care are drawing the talking points from the White House and the political classes, and it seems that the Usual Suspects are trying to claim that their protestations against the “contrived” protests are not contrived at all.  We see Paul Krugman engaging in his Pavlovian response , claiming that not only are the protesters stupid, but they also are racist and murderous.  Gail Collins, the editorial page editor of Obama’s House Organ, the New York Times, trying to figure a strategy to counter the claims.

A s much as some would like to believe that the reason that Obamacare isn’t doing well among the American people has to do with “misinformation” being thrown about, in reality it is much more basic than that. Ramesh Ponnuru does a very good job of laying out the two conflicting portions of the promises made and why Americans aren’t buying the explanations given by politicians when they question them: There are two basic points about health-care reform that President Obama wants to convey.

Rep. Russ Carnahan (D-MO) attempted to blame the violence that occurred at his town hall on a “right-wing assault”. But when a local talk show host pointed out that it was pro-ObamaCare union thugs who beat up a man and were charged with assault, suddenly Carnahan gets all bi-partisan about the violence. It only gets better when a local reporter points out that Carnahan is attempting to blame organized Republican opposition, but Obama’s official political wing has joined with the unions and Democratic National Committee to flood the town hall meetings.

As Obama tries to reform the medical welfare system people protest because they don’t want to help others then them selves!!, let me elaborate… In a debate yesterday in Wheeling, West Virginia. A woman carefully asked if they please could hurry up with the reform so that her daughter could be helped with her rheumatism since at the moment there was no way of paying for it. The response came quick… A man in a shirt stood up and said loud and clear: why should I pay for your daughter? Well there you have it people, the actual American reason for protesting against the reform… The product of a Supercapitalistic society. As soon as ones tax money helps other people people shout out Communism and Socialism as if they knew the meaning of these words!… is equality for all wrong? I call it Welfare. In Sweden we have a higher tax which everyone is willing to pay because we care for the less fortunate in our nation… as a matter of fact we have the best welfare in the world because of this… are we Communists now suddenly.. No definitely not! Maybee Obama sees the countries with the best welfare in the world and believes America has something to learn… who knows!
