The mainstream media were quick to jump all over conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh when he likened President Barack Obama’s healthcare logo to a swastika and compared the Democrats to the Nazis. They were much quieter about Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s reference to a swastika when she claimed that hecklers at a pro-Obamacare town hall meeting were carrying swastikas. By Richard Larsen Those who lived behind the “Iron Curtain,” or even in Nazi Germany, were fearful of expressing their true opinions about their government policies. Such reticence was necessary for they lived in fear that something they said might be reported to the authorities, leading to them being whisked away to the Gulag or the concentration camps. Could such a thing happen in America? While I would certainly hope that it couldn’t, there are ominous indicators that truly make one wonder.

According to witnesses, an African-American man wearing an SEIU uniform approached Gladney Thursday about 8:30 p.m. as Gladney showed his buttons and flags to the wife of a minister. The SEIU thug said, “Why is a n***** handing out ‘Don’t tread on me’ flags,” before punching Gladney to the ground. According to video taken at the scene by numerous witnesses, other SEIU thugs joined in to kick and beat Gladney. These union thugs were directed by the White House to go to the protests and “punch back twice as hard.” And they did.

Of all the ludicrous spin about the evils of Obamacare, the “euthanasia” rhetoric is, to me, the most disturbing. I’m getting really tired of the GOP fear-mongering about the health care reform proposals. The most egregious of these, to me personally, is the “euthenasia” nonsense. Monday, August 10, 2009 It is a fact that president Obama said in 2003, when he was campaigning for a seat in the U.S. Senate, that he desires/wants a single payer health care system. He said: “I don’t think we’re going to be able to eliminate employer coverage immediately. There’s going to be, potentially, some transition process: I can envision a decade out, or 15 years out, or 20 years out.” Despite the president’s statement, the lying Democrats keep telling the people that their plan will allow all people who have health insurance to keep it.

The corniest line I heard from a liberal democrat friend after the ascendence of President Obama should be credited to an old buddy from high school, James. Upon hearing criticism that Obama’s inauguration would cost taxpayers $170 million dollars, James updated his Facebook status to read something like this: “Some people are questioning the cost of the inauguration. But really, can anyone put a price tag on inspiration ?” We mention the line today because James’ Facebook status updates now focus much more on pop culture and much less on Obamania.

For centuries, doctors took an oath to protect life and to uphold the covenant relationship with their patients. Even now, with the Hippocratic Oath discarded due to its problematic prohibition of abortion and euthanasia (”do no harm”), doctors still recognize at some level that they have a covenant with their patients, not just a code of conduct.

A friend in Pennsylvania sent me this video . She didn’t say she agreed or disagreed with any of it. Her only response was “WOW, speechless…” I agree. I don’t agree with Dr. Manning about much in this video, I certainly don’t support violence, and I don’t think this is a “white people” issue. But he is right about one thing. In my opinion…………Nancy Pelosi is way out of line if it is true she called people who protest “un-American” because it is VERY American to express your opinion. It is only normal for people to have thoughts on health care reform. Change never is easy. Name calling on either side of the issue is immature. Discuss the facts. Debate the facts. Voice concerns. This is America. These days it seems that if you disagree with the administration you are given some sort of label. Why? Is this to discourage people from speaking out.
