Here is a PDF copy of something that none of you will read, but will change your life forever. HR_3200-Obamacare That’s right, it’s your friendly neighborhood Obamacare Plan, also known (by day) as the mild-mannered HR 3200. We’ve all been told, since our highly esteemed President was sworn into office, that he’s going to promote transparency in government… that government is going to work for the people and that we’re all going to see exactly what is going on and we’ll know how every dollar is spent.

- Scott Miller So we all know liberals are class A hypocrites by their very nature, but Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer took hypocrisy to an entirely new level when they penned a vicious attack on Americans who oppose government run healthcare. This from Fox News: In a Tight Spot, Pelosi Calls Health Care Critics ‘Un-American’ House Speaker Nancy Pelosi turned the health care debate up a notch Monday, penning a column along with her top deputy that questioned the patriotism of those disrupting town hall meetings to air their complaints. Pelosi and House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer claimed such behavior is “simply un-American.” “Let the facts be heard,” they wrote.

I’ve got a new commentary up at npri.org , lamenting that the Right, in its opposition to Obamacare, has focused extensively on the practical reasons to oppose it, but has rarely made the principled argument that government-run health care would be a fundamental violation of our freedom. An excerpt: How refreshing it would be to hear a politician say something akin to, “Yes, government-run health care would be inefficient. Yes, it would increase costs and would result in lower quality and longer waits to get care.

Today, I found a copy of some proposed legislation that is going to change the very foundation of the society that I live in. Unfortunately, there’s nobody in congress who is interested in standing up for what “the people” truly want, so it looks like I’m going to be trading in the stars and stripes for a sickle and hammer. President Obama gave his town hall forum today in Massachusetts, where he attempted to reassure the public that ObamaCare won’t be an infringement of individual liberty. He told his audience reassuringly, “For all the chatter and the yelling and the shouting and the noise, what you need to know is this … if you do have health insurance, we will make sure that no insurance company or government bureaucrat gets between you and the care you need.” Retooling his message amid sliding support, he addressed some of his remarks to a vital and skeptical audience: the tens of millions of people who already have health insurance and are generally satisfied with the care they get.

With over multiple proposed health care bills and the largest having over 1000 pages and a lot of heat being generated on both sides of the debate, there are a lot of misconceptions and odd beliefs about what national health care will eventually look like. Both sides in the debate have made assumptions about the legislation which may not be entirely be born out by reality and there is a great deal of confusion and acrimony as a result.

Rasmussen reports today: Public support for the health care reform plan proposed by President Obama and congressional Democrats has fallen to a new low as just 42% of U.S. voters now favor the plan. That’s down five points from two weeks ago and down eight points from six weeks ago. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that opposition to the plan has increased to 53%, up nine points since late June.

She also knows how to speak the language of America’s most persecuted demographic: white Christian conservatives. Many in her audience believe in a secret plot by liberals to enact a radical secular agenda, and they view all progressive policies through the lens of this alleged conspiracy.

You mean like the SEIU thugs that are kicking in heads? You mean that bogeyman? That seemed real on video, Barry. How about Nancy Pelosi’s claims of swastika carriers? Now there’s your bogeyman. Barack obama was out and about today trying to prop up his sinking “healthcare” plan . Funny that it would be sinking, considering that he has a super majority in congress, but this turkey is so full of bogeymen , that the American people have stood up and made their voices heard.

Filed under US Senate by AlexC The Commonwealth Foundation’s Michael Nerozzi was there….At 9 am the doors opened, but given the 250 person seating capacity, an estimated 1500 people had to remain outside. With the doors now closed, people rallied outside the event, holding signs that said “Hands off My Healthcare,” “I am the Mob,” “Pelosi and Obama Smell Fishy” and “If We’re ‘Astroturf’ Why Are You Trying to Mow Us?”, and singing “God Bless America”.

Yannow, one thing I’ve noticed at these townhall meetings are that there are a lot of geezers attending. Of course, technically I’m a geezer now as well. I’m 62, I’m retired, and I collect Social Security. But I’m seeing geezers who are older than I am at these events. What has the geezers so upset?Being old does not mean that you’re stupid. Jug Hussein Ears did not do too well with geezer voters. Maybe they’re racist. That’s it. They’re against Obamacare because they’re racist. Yeah.

This time it’s Representative John Dingell. From Hot Air : Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and Steny Hoyer have called the constituents speaking out against ObamaCare at town halls “un-American,” and that didn’t slow them down. Will calling them “racists” do it? MS-NBC’s Ed Schultz tosses a softball to Rep. John Dingell (D-MI), last seen being flummoxed by his own constituents last week.

The U.S. Commission on Civil Rights says some little-noticed provisions in the House health care bill are racially discriminatory, and it intends to ask President Obama and Congress to rewrite sections that factor in race when awarding billions in contracts, scholarships and grants.

Does this seem fishy to you? Over the weekend, Democratic Rep. David Scott of Atlanta yelled at one of his constituents, a urologist, who had the audacity to ask Scott about his support for Obamacare. Yesterday, CNN had a segment featuring Scott and the urologist, and Scott didn’t come out looking too good. Now, today, just when Rep. Scott could use a little sympathy from the public, we get a report that Scott has been a victim of a hate-crime–a swastika was spraypainted on a sign outside of his office.

Today, August 11, 2009, the President of the United States told a bald faced lie. There is no misunderstanding, no missed context, there is not even a slight question about benefit of the doubt. There is no doubt – the President lied. The question that this lie compels is: Why? Why would the president lie? Before that analysis, let’s watch the liar in action. In Reviewing the transcript from Barack Obama’s Health Care Town Hall just several hours ago he was asked this questions: Mr.

Sarah Palin speechwriter and occasional pizza delivery person Dan Tubagoo explains the remarkably cunning plan behind the recent flip-flop (aka the “dope-a-dope, zig-zag”) over so-called Communistic and/or bureaucratic Obamacare “death panels” imminently threatening to terminate the former governor’s grandparents and mentally-challenged offspring. Meanwhile, Rachel Maddow takes on the issue in a more somewhat more serious way… And this just in…

It has been reported, and the President just repeated it , that there are 47 million people in the United States who are uninsured. But I am trying to verify that number and here’s a breakdown given in Business and Media.org that breaks it down like this: 10 million not citizens 8.3 million uninsured people who make between $50,000 and $74,999 per year and 8.74 million who make more than e than $75,000 a year.

I love Michelle Malkin , She’s smart, funny, well spoken and does her homework so she knows what she’s talking about. I tried picking up her new book at the store when it came in but by the time my shift ended we were out of them. I wrote to Michelle Malkin and told her of this disappointing moment in my life and she actually wrote back to me (I feel special now, and not the “special” kind of special either).

Want to talk about your childish, emotional rants? Check out this stroke of liberal desperation : It Is Democracy, Not Health-Care Reform, That Is Sick … Given that there is no such thing as a “death panel,” nor any policy provision that would establish such a thing, it is hard to explain the institutional checks that would prevent a “death panel” from coming into being. When you have to explain why your bill won’t create death panels, and what will make sure that it doesn’t, you’ve pretty much lost the argument.

God weighs in on abortion, transgendered procedures and His position on Obamacare. Here is a feisty quote from the comments section after viewing the video clip: Isn’t funny how this is a “Christian” country when it comes to war, homosexuality, stem cell research, abortion, etc. But when it comes to the biggest biblical take away (helping others) theres nothing….

Clearly, Grandma has a right to be worried : [...] reform is being sold not just as a moral obligation but also as a way to control rising health-care costs. That should have been a separate discussion. It is not illogical for skeptics to suspect that if millions of people are going to be newly covered by health insurance, either costs are going to skyrocket or services are going to be curtailed. The unvarnished truth is that services are ultimately going to have to be curtailed regardless of what happens with reform.

Could the man have come up with a worse example of a government-run operation? The Department of Motor Vehicles perhaps? The Post Office that, per Obama’s own admission, is always the one carrier in trouble? I know: FEMA. Cardin said how to pay for the bill has not yet been worked out, a comment that prompted even more derision from the audience. The following is the text of an e-mail I sent today to flag@whitehouse.gov. “Hello, I read, in their joint OpEd in today’s USA Today, that Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi and House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer state as “fact” that: “health insurance reform will mean more patient choice.” I thought you should know that that sounds awful fishy to me! I simply can’t believe that, if the government is in charge of healthcare, it will allow a doctor and patient to make what THEY believe is the best choice.

Wow. It’s getting hot in here , with all the leash and weenie talk. Y’all are getting really funky. I wish I could approve, but certain parties are making mountains out of … what’s smaller than a molehill? Minutiae? In any case, we’ve got actual problems on our hands. Over at Under the Dome , they’re reporting that a new poll demonstrates that North Carolinians are unhappy with health care reform. Said poll also indicates that a scant half of the state’s voters believe that President Obama was born in the United States.

As many of you know, the White House and the Democratic congressional leadership have been pushing back in mainstream media channels against what they call “the mob,” a very loosely organized group of people who oppose ObamaCare. The most recent media talking point is that “the mob” is anti-democratic and anti-American because they are ruining the noble institution of the “town hall” meeting.
