Remember that whole Nancy Pelosi, the CIA lied to Congress brouhaha? Turns out Leon Panetta’s an idiot… Joseph Finder at the Daily Beast has the details : CIA Director Leon Panetta’s emergency testimony to Congress about an illegal assassination program has set off a crisis at the spy agency. The Daily Beast’s Joseph Finder exclusively reports that: The secret assassination ‘program’ wasn’t much more than a PowerPoint presentation, a task force and a collection of schemes—it never got off the ground Panetta’s three immediate predecessors—George Tenet, Porter Goss, and Michael Hayden—have spoken to him, and that he now sees that no laws were broken.

Rumors out of Washington are saying that the Democrats, who feel their chance for socialized medicine is slipping away, are ready to ‘ go it alone ‘ and possibly even use reconciliation to pass what they want. I say, let the fight begin. We all knew this day was coming since election day 2008.  This was the day that Barack Obama finally admitted that he lied to the American people.  He was never a post partisan.  In fact, he was the opposite…he may be the most partisan President in recent history.

Congressman Eric Massa (D-N.Y.)addressed other issues during his talk with progressive online activists at Netroots Nation 2009. He commented that a statement made by Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) last week was an “act of treason.” Mr. Grassley recently made waves after saying that there should not be a government healthcare plan that would “pull the plug on granny.” In the video, above (:38 seconds in) Mr. Massa says: MASSA: I mean, what Grassley said the other day was an act of treason.

You remember this story from earlier in the Summer. Shortly after Nancy Pelosi erupted saying that the CIA lied to Congress, a group of Democrats leaked a letter noting that Panetta had “testified” in secret to the fact that the CIA had indeed concealed things. Leon Panetta, who is Director of the Central Intelligence Agency , is by all accounts an upstanding and ethical individual who has had a long and illustrious career in Washington. It is sad that he has been so utterly incompetent while heading the CIA. In an excellent expose by Joseph Finder on the Daily Beast , it becomes clear that Panetta, like much of the Obama Administration, is the wrong person in the wrong place at the wrong time.
