Find the sane person . . . Well, frumps, I have a real eye-opener for you today.  I’ve been in a ‘right swivet’ lately trying to digest and make sense of the American political scene today.  From my vantage point, the best that I’ve been able to conclude is that Americans now reside in two distinct parallel universes.  Now I’ve had many years to hone my garden-variety innate rational, deductive skills; and, in addition, I’ve dabbled in the formal study of Logic, as well as Debate.  The current situation, however, defies Logic, so that’s no help.

ACORN went public with its gun control activism when it intervened in an unsuccessful attempt to defend Jersey City, New Jersey, a hot bed of anti-gun rights extremists, to disarm its citizens with a local gun control ordinance.

If the DOJ would do its job abd rid America of CRIMINAL ORGANIZATIONS, ACORN would not be! The greatest SHAME is that the Liberal Democrats of Congress give them BILLIONS of our TAX DOLLARS! There is an anti-Health Care Reform email circulating that claims to “read the bill” and points to specific problems. The email is taken from this post by Gary North. North writes – “Here are some of the bad highlights. After you read them, you will begin to see what you will be facing if this bill passes.” The highlights were selected by Larry Schweikart. Good! This is excellent. Now we can have a debate. Someone has actually gone through the bill and pointed out what’s wrong with it.

by ToddK on August 20, 2009 From: Doug RossFox4KC reports that ACORN has all but admitted its guilt related to various Pennsylvania vote fraud indictments:So, what do you do if you are the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) and you are accused of violating state election laws? What else but hire the ACLU to try and get those laws thrown out as unconstitutional? In Pennsylvania, six members of ACORN have been indicted for violating a state election law prohibiting groups from setting quotas for voter registration drives.

Turns out they violated campaign laws in the state by firing several workers for failing to achieve quotas of getting new voter registrations. They’re also being charged with obstruction and fraud (probably paperwork and reporting on the firings).

Obama Declaring Himself A Dictatorgoodtimepolitics.com

A person exercising absolute power, esp. a ruler who has absolute, unrestricted control in a government without hereditary succession. Most dictators have several characteristics in common. They usually rule autocracies, governments with a single self-appointed leader and no governing body to check his power. Democrats said a bipartisan accord seems less likely than ever, and they are preparing strategies for a possible one-party legislative push soon after Congress reconvenes next month.

How about where Obama holds a rally and people are bused in from 140 miles away? Several readers have criticized the Citizen Patriot’s coverage of last week’s health care rally outside U.S. Rep. Mark Schauer’s office, where hundreds came out — both to support and oppose — President Barack Obama’s reform plan. The chief criticism was that we failed to mention that some supporters were bused in from around the state. It is true, and it wasn’t included in the original story, but not because we were trying to slant coverage.

Now we know that Karl Rove spearheaded the firing of David Iglesias, the U.S. Attorney in New Mexico who refused to follow the Bush White House’s orders to intimidate low-income voters by making false charges of “voter fraud.” What the New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Wall Street Journal and other major papers missed in their stories last week was that Rove was specifically targeting ACORN, the community organizing group that has waged some of the most effective voter registration drives in recent memory.Rove viewed ACORN as a threat to the GOP because of its success in registering low-income voters and turning them out to vote on election day.

The former director of the Las Vegas chapter of the far-left advocacy group ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) has agreed to testify against the organization , in exchange for a plea to reduced charges: two counts of conspiracy to illegally pay canvassers registering voters. While any instance of ACORN being brought to account for breaking the law is welcome, this is only the tip of the iceberg. ACORN’s history of scandal goes back years.

This past May charges of voter fraud were brought up against the Nevada arm of the President’s favorite community organizers, ACORN. The state alleged that ACORN had policies requiring employees in Vegas to sign up 20 new voters a day or be fired. And, if you turn in 21 or more new registrations, you get a blackjack and a bonus of $5 per shift (hey it is Vegas). It’s against the law in Nevada to pay individual registrants to register people based on the total number of people that you’ve registered.

These are perilous times. Last November’s election of Barack Obama and a filibuster-proof majority of Democrats in both houses allowed a virulent criminal cabal to capture our nation’s seat of power. As with the Democrat takeover of Congress in 2006, it was a disaster of epic proportions. With one shocking, enormous, blatantly partisan, self-serving and destructive proposal following on the heels of another, the sheer enormity of their power grab defies description.

ObamaCare would provide community-based organizations, like ACORN with your tax money to ‘promote healthy living and reduce disparities’ and to monitor your weight, eating and exercise habits, and other behaviors which could affect your health. This smacks so much like the communist neighborhood party member overseeing what everyone in the neighborhood is doing, that I find it unbelievable. In America, the government is going to come into our homes and evaluate and obviously improve upon our eating habits! How in the hell did we get here? Oh, dinglebarry was elected president.

Buon giorno. Readers of this Weblog know that I actively point out double standards by Leftists in politics and the media. I have also said that I agree with the statement that politically correct speech is, in reality, an attempt to stifle free speech. And we have a doozy here! One thing I should point out at the outset: Most of the time, I do agree with Glenn Beck. However, he has said things that I strongly disagree with on occasion, and I’ve been irritated at times by his remarks.

I think one of the facts about Obama that will puzzle future historians is how a man so little known to the American public managed to win the White House.  The ObamaCare debacle has given us a grand opportunity to fill in the blanks regarding this man who came to the White House after just four years in the national spot light.  Much of what we have learned merely confirms what observant Obama watchers have already suspected, although confirmation is always useful.  Here is some of what I think we have learned about our President.

Back in March, when House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers announced that he and his staff had reached an agreement to have Karl Rove and ex-White House Counsel Harriet Miers testify privately about their roles in the firings of nine U.S. attorneys he said his panel also reserved the right to haul the former Bush administration officials before Congress to testify publicly about the matter.

  2. “Use RICO to STOP ACORN” that statement reflects the best method for dealing with these thugs, it is unfortunate that the corruption goes all the way to the top, and there is no one left to watch over the watchmen. My greatest fear is that I will have to explain to my children how I let this happen, how I let the greatest country in the world slip into this mire.
