“But encouraging responsible civic behavior was not the mission of the hyperventilating liberals this August. Instead, they aimed to impose a social cost and scrutiny on conservatives who protest that they had never previously imposed on protesters closer to their own political persuasion. The high-profile throttling of people like Bert Stead and Bob MacGuffie, who merely spoke out or organized friends to do the same, was meant to send a message.

Liberals are hopping mad with manufactured outrage over Joe Wilson’s outburst during the president’s speech on health care to Congress and the nation. Wilson interrupted Obama, yelling “YOU LIE!” causing gasps of outrage from Democrats, looks of shock from Biden and Pelosi, and a seething glare from Obama. While I applaud Wilson for calling Obama out on one of his lies, Wilson quickly apologized . It’s not good enough for liberals, though, who are still furious over the lack of respect towards the office of the president, or something.

Baucus Health Care Draft Plan to Fine Reluctant Gun Owners up to $3,800 Gun Owners of America Washington, DC – - (AmmoLand.com) – By now, members of Gun Owners of America should have received pre-written postcards opposing the anti-gun health care bills that are floating around on Capitol Hill. Please send in those postcards — as it’s very important for legislative offices to see mounds of gun owners’ mail being dumped on their desks! Now that Congress is back in session — and the President has given his televised push on health care — it is time for us to redouble our efforts.

During the President’s speech last night on health care, I was amazed by two little words that were unleashed; no, I’m not referring to Representative Joe Wilson’s outburst of, “You lie.” You can contribute to Wilson’s now up-hill battle against the statists here .  You would think that after nearly six weeks of raucous town hall meetings, nobody in that chamber would have been surprised to hear the echoing of American sentiment from one of 535 Congressmembers, but nay, it shocked

By PoliPundit ~ September 10th, 2009 @ 11:48 am Analyst Larry Sabato:After examining all 435 House races for 2010, the Crystal Ball projects that Republicans will gain between 20 and 30 seats. While this is nothing to sneeze at, especially given that it would be the largest gain for congressional Republicans since 1994, it still puts them short of the 40 seat pick-up they need to take back the House. In total, 70 Democratic-held seats are competitive, while only 34 Republican seats are as endangered.(via Political Wire) Subscribe to blog feed.

In terms of the rhetoric propaganda spewed to the American people, the Obama regime is falling in the footsteps of their predecessors. FDR gave a similar speech regarding social security when it was passed . We all know what that bill has done for the people of the nation. Now the regime wants another mammoth bill passed. It was encouraging to see Representative Joe Wilson  of South Carolina speak the plain truth in the session .He called the head of the regime a liar .

Last night, we saw the definition of true centrist leadership. President Obama used the power of his office, and the perfect forum of the halls of legislative power, to both make his case to the American people, and to prove to voters that the adults were still in charge of government. Rep. Joe Wilson of South Carolina probably did not start the evening with the intent of becoming the poster child for the Reactionary Right, but between his outburst of “You lie!” and the signs that a couple of childish congressmen were sporting, you quickly came to understand why the Founding Fathers established a Senate to go with the Congress.

The name Joe Wilson has entered another firestorm in politics. No, not the Joe Wilson whose wife and CIA operative Valerie Plame was outed during the Bush administration, allegedly as retribution. No, this is Rep. Joe Wilson of South Carolina. While addressing a series of falsehoods that have been cast at the idea of health care reform, which is really health insurance reform, Obama denied that his health care proposal would cover illegal immigrants.

Last night Republican Representative Joe Wilson (South Carolina) repeatedly heckled the president, calling him a “liar” and interrupting his speech to volley “you lie.” The House immediately started booing Wilson (not the president), and Obama paused to look in the direction of the crack to coolly respond “ that’s not true .” All eyes turned in the South Carolina Republican’s direction — including Obama’s, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s and Vice President Joe Biden’s.

Editorial South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson shouted “You lie” after Obama said extending health care to all Americans would not mean insuring illegal immigrants. Read the story Afterward, he was assailed with negative comment and veiled threats. Why? For Gods sake, Obama has lied about everything from his birthplace to the cost of health care. He’s taken the mess created by Bush and made it a thouand times worse.

( – promoted by Rocky Mountain Right – ) P resident Obama’s speech before Congress Wednesday was disappointing. There was a lot of empty eloquence. There were few specifics about what Obama wants in his health insurance bill, which really is a health spending bill and a power grab. He provided no leadership on health reform, but he gave his backers some nasty and dishonest talking points. Obama’s backers called it a great speech. They were sucked in by the rhetoric and show.

James Morrison ( Washington Times ) reports that Chris Hill, US Ambassador to Iraq, may face questions today regarding why he more or less ignored (“downplayed”) a letter from over “500 members of the British Parliament” warning that Camp Ashraf residents were in danger (the residents were assaulted July 28th ): The British letter, organized by Robin Corbett, a member of the House of Lords, said the “threatening developments” included reports that Iraqi officials prevented trucks carrying

During the President’s speech to both houses of Congress last night, at one point, when the President said that the health care bill would not cover illegal immigrants, Rep. Joe Wilson of SC shouted, “You lie!” I believe President Obama is a liar and the father of lies. I think he has lied for so long he wouldn’t know the truth if it hit him upside the head. I believe that there were lies in the Health Care speech and that Obama is happiest when he is lying. The issue that Rep.

“First, do no harm” has been the guiding philosophy for the medical profession since Hippocrates. It still dominates medical science, technology, and clinical practice. That is why I trust my doctor to do his or her best for me, and that is why at times I have changed doctors when I thought they fell short of that standard. That is why the cost of developing one medication to FDA standards is about a billion dollars.
