-By Warner Todd Huston In a section innocuously titled “School-Based Health Clinics,” the House bill, H.R. 3200 , seems to set up Democrats to invite groups like Planned Parenthood into our schools to serve as a school “health clinic.” (‘Sec. 399Z-1. School-Based Health Clinics.) And even more insidiously the bill provides for these “clinics” to be initiated immediately — effective date to be July 1, 2010 — whereas much of the rest of H.R. 3200 does not take effect until 2013.

WASHINGTON – Last evening, President Barack Obama laid out his priorities for a government-run health care plan before Congress and pledged that “I will not sign a plan that adds one dime to our deficits – either now or in the future.  Period.”   Unfortunately for the President, none of the bills currently under consideration meets his deficit neutral criteria, according to non-partisan reports.

Fox News’ partisans accuse Obama of “partisan hackery” Responding to President Obama’s September 9 speech to Congress on health care reform, in which Obama denounced “bogus claims spread by those whose only agenda is to kill reform,” Sean Hannity, Karl Rove, and Fox News legal analyst Peter Johnson Jr. asserted that the speech was, in Hannity’s words, “full of partisan hackery.” But Hannity, Rove, and Johnson have each repeatedly fearmongered or advanced false attacks while discussing health care reform, including the charges that reform would deny care for the elderly or that the administration is encouraging military veterans to end their lives.

Bill Dupray: Just so we are clear, the Republicans offered an amendment to HR 3200 that would bar illegals from coverage under ObamaCare. That amendment was defeated by the Democrats. On July 16, an amendment by Rep. Dean Heller (R-Nev.) that would have required use of the SAVE [Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements] program to prevent illegal immigrants from receiving the affordable premium credits was defeated by the House Ways and Means Committee. Huh.

In this Hill this week, Congresswoman Herseth Sandlin privately complained that she’s being picked on: But Rep. Stephanie Herseth Sandlin (D-S.D.), a leader of the centrist Blue Dog Democrats, made a call for unity, urging more liberal members to stop publicly insulting Blue Dogs. “She said we shouldn’t be questioning each other’s motives,” said one lawmaker. Rep. Pete Stark (Calif.), a liberal and senior Democrat on the powerful Ways and Means Committee, recently criticized Blue Dogs in a conference call as “brain dead,” and said: “They’re just looking to raise money from insurance companies.” Read it here .

Neal Boortz did a bang-up job on the speech. Of course illegal aliens won’t be covered. That would be because by the time this plan is put into effect they won’t be “illegal” any more. They will have been legitimized by a Democrat party seeking more core voters. And then there’s this … if illegal aliens aren’t going to be covered, then why does he include the 10 to 12 million uninsured illegal aliens in the number of the uninsured when he’s promoting ObamaCare? But that’s not all: Obama says that monopolies can stifle competition.

As the healthcare reform debate roars on, Uncle Sam resembles a restless college senior who is flunking economics, finance, and management. Despite a report card full of Fs, he suddenly announces: “I want to go to medical school!” Similarly, President Barack Obama stood before a joint session of Congress Wednesday night and re-embraced a government option for health insurance.

Tempers are fraying. Name calling is reaching new highs and it’s not just angry talk radio hosts and loudmouthed Congressman. We’re fighting our friends and neighbors over health care and the world around us is getting more dangerous. The United States needs a break from the health care debate. Can we take a month off and focus on some of the other issues that have been all but ignored during the health care debate? He began the speech by commenting on labor in general, as well as the economy, when he switched the subject. “Just in case you were wondering,” he says, “we’re also going to build an America where health reform delivers more stability and security to every American.” He declined to go into detail, advising the crowd to tune in on Wednesday night.

The initial reaction to the president’s address to Congress on healthcare reform was interesting – people seemed to agree his made his case well, and forcefully, and the initial polling seemed indicate he changed some minds, and he seemed a bit more combative, without any overt name-calling or silliness, and of course he was heckled: THE PRESIDENT: There are also those who claim that our reform efforts would insure illegal immigrants. This, too, is false.

On the heels of yesterday’s joint address to Congress, President Obama plans to make remarks regarding the financial crisis on Monday: “He will discuss the aggressive steps the Administration has taken to bring the economy back from the brink (and) the commitment to winding down the government’s role in the financial sector,” the White House said in a statement. This should be a good one. The President will probably boast that the so-called stimulus “saved” hundreds of thousands of jobs.

    A baby born prematurely was left to die at a British hospital because he did not qualify for treatment under the government-run, National Health Service’s rationing rules.     Sarah Capewell, a 23 year old British mother, says that her son Jayden, born at just 21 weeks and five days gestation, was refused intensive care because the British NHS only allows treatment for premature babies born at 22 weeks. Jayden was two days under the limit.     Capewell says Jayden survived for two hours, crying, before dying in her arms.

Health Care not a constitutional right, Obamacare Dangerous By: Misael Galdamez, Entertainment Editor Yes, health care reform needs to happen. Yes, we need cheaper, easier, and better care for everyone, but it is neither the government’s role nor its obligation to provide charity. Allowing the government to impose a policy of universal health care that carries a potential price tag of 1 trillion dollars or more would be both counterproductive and detrimental, economically and medically.

Since he was talking to Planned Parenthood, one has to believe he was specifically including ‘Abortion’ when he discussed reproductive care. So either Obama is lying now, or he was lying to Planned Parenthood.

A very special comment indeed on the eve of 9/11 from a guy who thinks Fox News is “worse than Al Qaeda,” who regards any and all criticism of Barack Obama as thinly veiled racism, and who treats the veritable certainty that ObamaCare will eventually be extended to illegal immigrants as the height of paranoia. Not a single word uttered about the president’s assurance that our trillion-dollar health-care “experiment” will supposedly be deficit-neutral.
