A few days back, ACORN issued an empty threat: they said that they would sue James O’Keefe, Hannah Giles, Andrew Breitbart and FNC for their secretly taping ACORN employees offering their help in putting a sex slave/prostitution business together . The first time I heard that story, I knew it was pure bluster. Here’s why: If ACORN sues, it would have to sue alleging some variation of defamation or fraud. The problem is that for either allegation, truth is an absolute defense.

These are perilous times we now face in America. Our economy is on the brink of total devastation. We are undergoing a “fundamental” transformation of our nation that brings government into nearly every part of our lives. This “change” was imposed on us by (1) fraudulent means, (2) special interest groups, and (3) irresponsible, ignorant, and immoral voters. ACORN Registration Forms Found In Apartment During Drug Bust. “A search of a northeast Albuquerque apartment as part of a drug investigation led to the discovery of about a dozen voter registration forms, police said. The forms were filled out and had dates from late last month, Albuquerque police said. Authorities had not determined the authenticity of the forms. The occupant of the apartment, a Cuban national, was arrested on drug charges.

I watched the current offering of   Real Sports on HBO this morning. Most interesting was the segment by Frank DeFord, reporting on the demise of Newspapers. Mr. DeFord attempted to make the point that if newspaper sports sections went away investigating reporting would no longer exist. Mr. DeFord’s argument is consistent with the one being made by newspapers in general. As newspapers find their subscription levels falling at a survival endangering rate they attempt to make the same case.

WASHINGTON (CNN) — The House of Representatives on Thursday approved an amendment that calls for halting government funding to the community organizing group ACORN. I’m debuting a new feature here at Sanity Injection. Occasionally I get sort of a writer’s block because there are so many things I want to write about and never enough time. So today’s post is going to hit a number of different topics by running down my thoughts on who benefited most (winners) or who was hurt most (losers) by the news developments of the last several days. Everyone is pointing and laughing at the main stream media for being scooped by a couple of kids who look like they just stepped out of a Norman Rockwell painting.  How absurd!  It isn’t the MSM who has been put to shame by those kids, it’s us conservatives; bloggers, writers, magazines.  Wherever you find conservatives you find people who couldn’t do the job that those two kids who look like trick or treaters got done.

Almost everyone, at one time or another, has wished that they could speak directly with the President. Of course, we know that is almost impossible, so some concerned citizens communicate by letter and e-mail. In one of his continuing series of letters to the President and other elected officials, Frank Bell of Columbia, Maryland often says what we are thinking – often in a more articulate and well-reasoned manner.So I have absolutely no qualms about re-publishing his letters which seem to mirror much of my own thinking.

See how easy this is? The obvious comparison to ACORN would be Planned Parenthood , of which undercover videos and audios – many made by the “pimp” in the ACORN sting, James O’Keefe – have revealed equally scandalous behavior. But PP still has a giant stranglehood over congressional power brokers. Via Foxnews.com and the AP House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has signed on to recent calls for investigations into the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, saying Thursday that the advocacy group with a history of legal troubles is ripe for a review. The speaker commented the day after the release of a fifth video of ACORN workers advising two undercover journalists posing as a pimp and prostitute about how to evade tax and housing laws.

A very brief point to make here on this one, which is that McNorman went and put up a slew of videos about Bertha Lewis, who is below in a now vintage clip from this past May. Every word that comes out of idiot’s mouth has nothing to do with anything but pure race.
