He went before a joint session of Congress to lay out his health care plans, confront the “demagoguery” of critics who had resorted to “distortion,” “misinformation” and “tall tales,” and rally progressives and Blue Dogs to reunite and drive on to victory.

The war on soda is going into overdrive in San Franfreakshow, where the degenerate mayor plans to punitively loot stores that dare sell it: Calling soda the new tobacco, San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom will introduce legislation this fall that would charge a fee to retailers that sell sugary beverages. Newsom would need voter approval to tax individual cans of soda and sugary juice, but only needs approval from the Board of Supervisors to levy a fee on retailers.

To me, Obama is a lot like the Chicago Cubs in baseball. All too often Cubs get a good start and the fans start to think that the old cursed saying about the Cubs — “Wait ’til next year” — will finally be left behind. But, in the end, the Cubs always manage to lose when going into the fall.At the beginning of this year, Obama too was hot. As a new President, 70% of the population was rooting for him to do well. I’ve not written in a while for a simple reason.  It’s becoming increasingly difficult to simply keep up with an Administration seemingly hell-bent on destroying the country we once knew and “fundamentally transforming” it into something entirely unrecognizable.  And the scariest part of all?  We don’t know with certainty exactly what our puppet president and his handlers are transforming us into.

Having abused and stripped of meaning words such as: “terrorist”,  “reform” and now “ racist “,  the Unholy Left led by House Frau Nancy Pelosi are working to devalue words associated with political violence in order to paint Obamacare opponents as assassins in wait .   If it ever does happen then the man on the grassy knoll will be more like a crowd of direct political beneficiaries - Pelosi for example - who will then use a national shock to ram through their policies - and much worse.

Track A ‘Crat posted a piece about Carter and his racist comment the other day to which I commented that the habitual and desparate racism claims are proving ineffective as polls are not changing as a result of the claims being made. In other words, folks are not backpedaling on white guilt grounds and standing pat on their beliefs that the president’s policies are atrocious. Once the libs figure out that it is not working, they will find a new accusation for opposing the president that is equally as hollow.

Why not? The One’s out of ammo and the Democrats’ hyper-negative racial campaigning has failed epically. Might as well hand the ball off to Mrs. O and see if she can “mom” America into supporting this craptastic boondoggle. Imagine the media coverage. Next time you see someone mocking the idea that America could have health care waiting lists and death panels, point out that we already do. There is one domain of medical treatment that is mandated socialism-only, by the Federal government. And, unsurprisingly, this system has a waiting list of over 100,000 people at a time. You usually have to wait at least 1,000 days …nearly three years…for treatment. In fact, you usually die before you get treated .

Someone sent this to me and I found it very funny at first. Then, once I had thought about it for a few moments, I realized how true it is. The more you think about it, the scaryer it gets! Insurance premiums are going to skyrocket, especially if you’re an elderly American, not eligible for Medicare. According to the plan, insurance companies will be able to charge up to 5 TIMES as much as an average policy based on your age. With an average policy for an individual running about $500/month, that would add up to $30,000 per year.
