One of the main reasons many computers experience slow performance can be due to memory usage from too many junk files and temporary internet files which can take up considerable room. This situation can be compared to a messy and overloaded work desk, in which it is difficult to find things. A work desk like this would need to be tidied up; similarly a computer would also require to be cleaned to get rid of the junk. You should do this regularly to clean up your PC.

Review “In Doubt Is Their Product, David Michaels gives a lively and convincing history of how clever public relations has blocked one public health protection after another. The techniques first used to reassure us about tobacco were adapted to reassure us about asbestos, lead, vinyl chloride-and risks to nuclear facilities workers, where Dr. Michaels’ experience as the relevant Assistant Secretary of Energy gave him an inside view. And if you’re worried about climate change, keep worrying, because the same program is underway there.

P.Z. Myers has reviewed Richard Dawkins’ new book, The Greatest Show on Earth , for Seed Magazine: While our public schools are failing to educate people about the science of biology, the barrier to picking up the basic information has never been lower. These books are wonderfully written, easy to absorb, and great at communicating the basic principles; an interested person can pick up one and in a few evenings of pleasant reading get a good idea of why evolution has been such a powerful idea in biology.

From Zomblog In 1971, John Holdren edited and contributed an essay to a book entitled Global Ecology: Readings Toward a Rational Strategy for Man . He wrote (along with colleague Paul Ehrlich) the book’s sixth chapter, called “Overpopulation and the Potential for Ecocide.” ( Click here to view a photograph of the table of contents , showing Holdren’s essay on pages 64-78; click on the image to the left to view the cover).

“The greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people!”-Senator James Inhofe Thanks to an outspoken American Senator, the world is being set straight on climate change. Working tirelessly to block Al Gore’s Capitol Hill celebration as part of a seven-continent “Live Earth” concert tour intended to rally the planet in cheerfully addressing runaway global warming, Oklahoma Republican James Inhofe speaks with the conviction of a Holocaust denier when he calls climate change “The greatest hoax

You can pretty much bet that a theory is nothing more than junk science when the “scientists” who support it refuse to produce any, you know, evidence . Such is the case with the UN’s unit on climate research in regards to global warming. After refusing to disclose temperature data for years, the UN is attempting to claim that its evidence of global warming was…lost. Yes, the group is actually pulling the, “my dog ate my homework,” excuse. Apparently without any sense of shame whatsoever.

An odd title, you might think to your self. However, everything is connected. Trust me. But first things first. Both Greenland and Antarctica are experiencing significant thinning of their ice fields and glaciers according to scientists. I’m sure this will be attacked as “junk science” by the global warming denial industry. It comes from research done through the use of a NASA satellite laser, after all. Greenland and parts of Antarctica are losing large volumes of ice to the oceans as their glaciers get thinner, a Nasa satellite has revealed.

by Edward Spencer Acne is a constant worry, particularly for teenage girls, as it sprouts up suddenly and its scars stay long after the acne is gone. Irrespective of your abhorrence for it, acne appears throughout the teenage years of most people and considerable effort is required for removing these bad looking marks and stopping them from reappearing. Acne is the result of a reaction between bacteria and sebum discharged by the glands present in skin, giving rise to an infection.

There are coming of age stories. This is a cumming of age story.(If you have any sort of brains – and I give my readers credit for having the biggest brains on the planet, which means you’ll all be in deep doo-doo when the zombies arrive – then you’ll be on your toes for a quick getaway. Some of you will find the following deeply disturbing, radically gross, and entirely too much information. On the other hand, some of you will just find it revolting.)This is the story of my first orgasm.

In my opinion, the Internet is one of the greatest tools every Uncommoner has at their disposal. The Internet allows you to reach an unbelievably wide audience to share your ideas, make important connections, and research your passions. It is also one of the key income sources for many Uncommoner, through either the distribution of information, services, traditional goods.

True believers treat skeptics on the Climate Change/Global Warming question as heretics because “the proof is right there” . . . except the data supporting the case is not available to study : . . . the data needed to verify the gloom-and-doom warming forecasts have disappeared. Or so it seems. Apparently, they were either lost or purged from some discarded computer. Only a very few people know what really happened, and they aren’t talking much. And what little they are saying makes no sense.

Vital Information on Immune Health By Dr. Allen S. Josephs Co-Founder & Chairman, Vitacost.com 9/10/2009 It is now September and the weather is already starting to change in the Northeast. In just a few short weeks, we will be into fall (and then winter) and with that brings the increased risk of infection. A new flu vaccine is coming shortly, although it is unclear at this point if there will be any safety issues associated with it. Additionally, its effectiveness is yet to be determined.

September 24, 2009Many people could benefit from an acne diet. Most importantly, who hasn’t heard that eating chocolate gives you zits? We almost all have. As a result, it does not seem so far-fetched that what you eat could prevent acne instead of cause it. Although creating a good acne diet can be very hard. Being based on your body’s responses to certain foods makes it very personal. There are rules to follow, but progress is usually by trial and error. Monitor your skin closely. Make note of any changes.

I followed my old rule and read Obama’s speech rather than watch it. I suggest everyone should do the same. Reading Obama’s speeches are far more revealing than listening to them. You can find a transcript of the speech here . A contradiction: I was immediately stuck by contradictions early on.

Is this the sheep dog of the future? The Telegraph published a disturbing report today that Tesco, the largest retailer in the United Kingdom (and third largest retailer in the world) “has told New Zealand farmers, who supply the supermarket giant with lamb, to stop using the dogs unless they can be retrained to be “more considerate” towards the flock.” Tesco’s benchmark standards for lamb production state that the animals must undergo “no abuse or mistreatment.” I’m all for humane

Here’s a great ad campaign. The folks at Junk Science are greeting the CEOs who have won … are being spared public flogging of the Progressives by embracing a National Energy tax with posters like this.
