If so, the state would apparently be an outlier.

Big Government: Massive Voter Fraud in NY linked to ACORN.

The Working Families Party and local Democratic Party Officials are at the center of a massive voter fraud scandal in Troy, NY.According to the Times Union:Dozens of forged and fraudulent absentee ballots from people registered to vote on the Working Families Party line were filed in the Sept. 15 primary elections in Troy.Documents at the county Board of Elections show the fraudulent ballots were handled by or prepared on behalf of various elected officials and leaders and operatives for the Democratic and Working Families parties.There may be as many as 50 absentee ballots that were forged, according to people close to the case.

Interesting read, but is that question even in doubt? It shouldn’t be. ACORN’s registration drives “routinely produce fraudulent registrations,” according to a staff report released in July 2009 by the ranking Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. The report describes ACORN as “a criminal conspiracy” and details violations ranging from unpaid taxes to a million-dollar embezzlement and cover-up.

“Florida State Rep. Adam Hasner has been a longtime critic of ACORN, and the recent scandals plaguing the community-organizing group have left him feeling vindicated. “It’s justified to say, ‘I told you so,’” the Republican majority leader said in remarks reported by the St. Petersburg Times. “They are at the heart of every controversy. Bank of America pulls ACORN funding. NEW YORK (CNN) — Troubled community organizing group ACORN suffered another setback on Monday, when Bank of America announced it is pulling its funding of ACORN Housing. In a statement, Bank of America said that is it “suspending current commitments to ACORN Housing and will not enter into any further agreements with ACORN or any of its affiliates” until it is satisfied that all issues related to the organization have been resolved.

Bank of America has been caving in to left-wing special interests for years. The financial giant teamed up with the open-borders lobby to offer illegal alien home loans. It forked over payoffs to self-declared bank terrorist outfit NACA (the taxpayer-subsidized Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America). BoA also capitulated to a Jesse Jackson shakedown.

For some time now I’ve been thinking about several strands of information that appeared interwoven, but exactly how I wasn’t sure.  I still don’t have all the pieces but I’m getting closer thanks to two bits of information this week—one from Kathleen Parker, the other from a Catholic blogger in Illinois.

The banking company “ will not enter into any further agreements with ACORN or any of its affiliates ,” pending assessments of the organization’s operations, the paper quoted a Bank of America spokesman as saying.

After seething for weeks over the damage caused Roman Polanski’s favorite activist group (ACORN), Think Progress has struck back against an organization as equally institutionally corrupt on the right, Kitty Werthmann. Werthmann, an aged, suspiciously white woman who watched to Nazi rise to power in Austria as she was growing up, gave a speech telling a pimp and prostitute how to commit fraud against the federal government to support the trafficking of children for purposes of prostitution noting the similarities she saw between the cult of personality that propelled Hitler into power and those backing President Obama with similar unrestrained fervor.

Every once in a while Democrats and the media assert that there’s never any election fraud or that it rarely results in cast votes. This is false. My favorite example is the 2003 Democratic Mayoral primary in which 32 people were convicted of voter fraud , and the election was subsequently thrown out by the court. It turns out that the Troy, NY municipal elections are highly contested this year. And when elections are close, and especially in primaries, the stakes get high. And the fraud starts.

Meissner, executive secretary of the Troy Housing Authority, said he locked down the riverfront office of housing authority clerk Anthony Defiglio on Saturday morning after learning about the scandal first exposed in Saturday’s Times Union.

The problems for ACORN just keep on coming. Bank of America released a statement today where it intends to stop working with Acorn on foreclosure issues. Many organizations have severed ties with ACORN after videos where released showing ACORN employees engaging in providing illegal advice to undercover reporters on how to run an illegal brothel which exploited minors.Since the videos have surfaced many different organizations have backed off being associated with the community organization.
