” I am a firm believer in the people. If given the truth, they can be depended upon to meet any national crisis. The great point is to bring them the real facts.” …………………………………………………………. – Abraham Lincoln Not sure luminaries like James Hansen or Stephen Schneider or Jim Salinger or The ‘I-won’t-debate-with-you’ Goracle agree with old Abe. Must be a generational thing.

Oct 12 2009:-8. Oops – that didn’t work at all…..…today is the first update based entirely upon interviews conducted after the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to President Obama. The award seems to have had little impact on public opinion among likely voters. His total approval was at 49% just before the award was announced and it is at 49% today. There does seem to be a slight increase in intensity. Since the prize was awarded, the number who Strongly Approve of the President’s performance has increased by three percentage points and the number who Strongly Disapprove has increased by five.

As far as the global warming hoax is concerned, the debate was over before it ever began. When a grown-up dares to challenge the Goracle’s profitable lies, his microphone gets cut: The nine ” significant errors ” — i.e., lies — Phelim McAleer refers to, have been discussed earlier . The Science & Public Policy Institute dug a little deeper and found 35 lies . No wonder the high-living Goracle makes no serious attempt to reduce his gargantuan carbon footprint, even while demanding that we submit to government-imposed poverty to save man-eating polar bears that unfortunately are anything but endangered .

Given that starting point, I believe it is appropriate to have an over representation of factual presentations on how dangerous it [global warming] is , as a predicate for opening up the audience to listen to what the solutions are, and how hopeful it is that we are going to solve this crisis.” – Al Gore , May 9, 2006 What a farce.
