Bradley Burston; 16/10/09; (3 Items)I put off reading the Goldstone report the same way I put off scheduling a colonoscopy. I now realize it was for many of the same reasons. You know it’s going to be tremendously uncomfortable, you don’t want to know what they’re going to find, and the consequences could be life-threatening. I know that I am not alone. Despite the many people who have made strident declarations about the report, few have actually read it, end to end.

On the morning of 8th October, 2005 an earthquake of an intensity of 7.6 on the Richter scale struck the whole country, specifically northern districts of NWFP, Federal Capital and Azad Kashmir. The devastation was also caused on the other side of the border in Kashmir valley. The most affected districts reportedly are Abbotabad, Mensehra, Batagram in Hazara division and Shangla in Swat. Similarly Muzafarabad, Bagh and Rawalakot in Azad Kahsmir and federal capital were also hit badly by series of tremors.

I’ll be providing video when it’s available on this visit. People from surrounding communities have complained that New Orleans is getting too much attention when their small cities and towns are still suffering from the effects of Katrina. Thing is, there are whole communities in the Gulf Coast still suffering from the neglect of the previous administration. Some city boosters are proud to say that New Orleans is the fastest growing city in the country at this moment. This is a lie.
