A strange anomaly occurs whenever the phrase “voter registration fraud” is searched. Who’s responsible for that? Perhaps the players? Search the Internet and you will find dozens of stories on the Association of Community Organizations For Reform Now or ACORN on a never ending stream of Google results. However, Project Vote (Voting for America) is often only listed as an affiliate. Articles posted by the mainstream media tend to downplay Project Vote’s role or is it something else?In the fall of 2005 I answered an ad posted on Idealist.org similar to the one provided by the Capital Research Center below.

The national community-based group, ACORN, recently underwent some investigative journalism Sacha Baron Cohen-style. What the amateur journalist/actors/videographers found were several employees well-versed in and comfortable with fraud. The employees openly advised the actors, who pretended to want to start a brothel in order to raise money for a political campaign, on how to keep [...]

There’s a lively conversation going on in the comments section here about what has become one of our favorite topics: how dangerous is Obama? Meaning: how can you tell if tyranny is approaching, and especially whether it’s likely to be successful? I would submit that the signs are there, especially the all-important attempts to control the media and therefore the message that gets out to the population. This is of course more difficult in the twenty-first century than it was in the twentieth, but hardly impossible.

Yeah, Congress thinks your attention span and IQ is roughly between Styrofoam and yogurt. Egad, these politicians, R and D, disgust me. Get them out. Out. Out. Seriously? This organization has been found to be committing voter fraud, to be hiding the millions of dollars in embezzled funds that were intended to help the poor, to keep the embezzler on the board until others forced the issue into the open, and multiple offices have been caught offering advice on how to traffick in under-aged girls and how to cheat the government and lie on tax returns, and Congress’ response was to ban their funding with much publicity and fanfare for one stinking month???? And I thought I was the cynic.

Please see below for Jeremy Scahill at The Nation who, last week, covered the outrageous hypocrisy of federal legislation targeting ACORN (who committed no crimes), while the top 100 government contractors, who made “nearly $300 billion from federal contracts in 2007 alone” paid some “$26 billion in fines to settle cases stemming from fraud, waste or abuse”.

Considering last night’s failed attempt to censor Fox News, it wouldn’t be irresponsible to wonder if the Obama White House had a direct hand in this Media Matters memorandum dedicating resources to the destruction of the only significant dissident media outlet in the United States. An official at a Democratic-leaning organization sends on a memo the group Media Matters is circulating today to progressive groups, calling Fox “a lethal 24/7 partisan political operation” and rallying a coalition of groups to join the White House assault on the network.

Peter Dreier’s op-ed about ACORN in the L.A. Times is so filled with inaccuracies it’s hard to know where to start. Let’s start with Dreier’s false statements about the recent ACORN videos: Two “gotcha” right-wing activists showed up at about 10 ACORN offices hoping to entice low-level staff to provide tax advice for an illegal prostitution ring. In most ACORN offices, the staff kicked the pair out. In a few cities, staffers called the police. In two offices, however, the staff listened and offered to help.

I think of you often. I’m getting my fake fingernails put on and I’m thinking of you. I have a pitch meeting at Pie Town tomorrow and I chewed all my real fingernails off last night watching Anita Dunn express her admiration for Mao Tse Tung. Thank you for exposing yet another enemy of our freedom. You are so passionate and curious and smart and real. Sigh.

It’s getting serious now. Glenn Beck hinted that Robert F. Bauer is moving to the White House. Robert Bauer is Obama’s personal attorney and a partner with Perkins Coie. Bauer has represented Obama on the Blagovich investigation, ACORN voter fraud and the eligibility issue. Bauer is also the general counsel for the Democratic National Committee who failed to verify Obama’s eligibility The chickens are coming home to roost.

Over at Newsmax, Dick Morris — kingmaker, foot fellator, and Fox News Talking Frightmask — challenges recent slurs upon the integrity of Fox News, by citing a poll which suggests the Republican-leaning network is also watched by independents and Democrats. I’m not sure how this claim is supposed to refute White House official Anita Dunn’s allegation that Fox is “opinion journalism masquerading as news,” since she questioned the objectivity of their reporters, not their customers. During the
