Obama no longer flavour of the monthadamsmith.wordpress.com

“President Obama agreed to commit an additional 40,000 troops to help fight Fox News,” quipped NBC’s Jay Leno. “Senior White House adviser David Axelrod told reporters that Fox News is just pushing a point of view. Well, yes, but at least they’ve got a point of view.” A telling joke, from one of the late night show hosts, illustrating that the gloss is off Obama.

October 23, 2009 / Real Clear PoliticsByCharles KrauthammerWASHINGTON — Rahm Emanuel once sent a dead fish to a live pollster. Now he’s put a horse’s head in Roger Ailes’ bed.Not very subtle. And not very smart. Ailes doesn’t scare easily. The White House has declared war on Fox News. White House communications director Anita Dunn said that Fox is “opinion journalism masquerading as news.” Patting rival networks on the head for their authenticity (read: docility), senior adviser David Axelrod declared Fox “not really a news station.” And Chief of Staff Emanuel told (warned?) the other networks not to “be led (by) and following Fox.Meaning?

It gives me great pleasure to type Dan Froomkin : The Obama administration’s recent characterization of Fox News is a long overdue acknowledgment of the obvious: Fox News is not a legitimate news organization — indeed, after many years of serving as the research and messaging wing of the Republican Party, it has now gone beyond even that, to become the electronic evangelist of an ultra-partisan and non-reality-based world view.

And it’s just getting started. Moderates and independents thought conservatives were just being partisan (certainly many were to be fair) when we were explaining what the nation was getting with an Obama/Chicago-style administration. It’s not a joke, nor is it mere politics. They mean business. If you’re not with them, you’re against them and thus become a target of ridicule, official scorn and marginalization. In reference to Fox News, White House officials had these things to say (emphasis mine): David Axelrod, senior adviser to Pres.

FOX don’t argue with the president. Be grateful to him and his surrogates for reminding the world seven times a day that you are very different from MSNBC, CNN, NBC, etc. As more and more Americans flee those Obama worshipping propaganda mills, FOX looks better every day. Do some marketing emphasizing this distinction. Maybe something along the lines of, “We’re the network Obama loves to hate. Come by and see what the White House communications director is afraid of.

Reported by Ellen – October 24, 2009 – In one of the most bizarre episodes of Glenn Beck’s Fox News show yet, Glenn Beck compared the Obama administration to Al Capone Friday (10/23/09). Then, wielding a baseball bat, Beck told his viewers, “You gotta take a stand, even though you know, in the end, you’ll pull out a knife and they’re gonna pull out a gun… You have to ask yourself, if you stand up, what are you willing to do? Sure, you might get whacked. But let me tell you something.

The Weekly Standard : Obama’s Minions Are Ingrates The Bush administration did leave a plan for Afghanistan. by Stephen F. Hayes On October 18, White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel appeared on the Sunday morning talk shows and, in the process of answering questions about Barack Obama’s strategy on Afghanistan, accused the Bush administration of failing to ask the most basic questions about that country and our war there.

Politico Friends and associates are encouraging Fox News chief Roger Ailes to jump into the political arena for real by running for president in 2012, top sources tell POLITICO. “Ailes knows how to frame an issue better than anybody, and that’s what we need now,” says one Ailes friend who is encouraging the Fox founder, chairman and CEO to seek the Republican nomination to run against President Barack Obama. Ailes, 69, has an aggessive, winning personality that made Fox News a huge success — and a huge target for liberal critics.

You could get a job with Fox News. That one is pretty much a no-brainer. However, there are a multitude of other methods. You could take part in a Tea Party event. (That way, not only will you make the enemies list, you’ll be a racist as well.) You could be someone from a small town bitterly clinging to your guns and your religion. According to Obama, if you oppose amnesty for illegal aliens you are a “demagogue.” I almost forgot, again.
White House vs. Fox News: Blunderinggrandrants.wordpress.com

As the war between the White House and Fox News escalates, it might be insightful to take a look back and see the path which led to Thursday’s attempt by the White House to completely shut off Fox News. The first skirmish was back in August, when people were complaining about having received unwanted emails from the White House. Major Garrett, Fox’s White House correspondent, asked Press Secretary Robert Gibbs about why and how those people received the emails.

President Obama has been trying to unite the media outlets he likes against the one he hates; FOX News. Well, the President was someone successful. He did unite the media … but he united them against him! The Obama administration on Thursday failed in its attempt to manipulate other news networks into isolating and excluding Fox News, as Republicans on Capitol Hill stepped up their criticism of the hardball tactics employed by the White House.
