What was the purpose of the Revolutionary war? Tyranny! What are we living through right now? Do your homework and look up the word tyranny. This is exactly why the Revolutionary War was fought? When we won and we wrote the Constitution to limit the powers of a tyrannical government. What the founding fathers wanted to install was smaller government, lower taxes, strong national defense, and a commitment to INDIVIDUAL liberty. So here we are… Big government. Getting ready to pass Crap-n-Trade and Healthcare.

Russia s Leaders See China as Template for Ruling – New York TimesOr at least, the one that reigns next door. Like an envious underachiever, Vladimir V. Putin s party, United Russia, is increasingly examining how it can emulate the Chinese Communist Party, especially its skill in shepherding China through the EDITORIAL: What would Mao do?

“[T]he death of ten to twenty million people is nothing to be afraid of” —Mao Tse-tung. “Human rights are not a privilege conferred by government. They are every human being’s entitlement by virtue of his humanity. The right to life does not depend … on the pleasure of anyone else” —Mother Teresa. I recently wrote about the spectacle of New York’s tallest building aglow in red and yellow to commemorate the founding of Mao Tse-tung’s People’s Republic of China.

And up nine points since Anita Dunn first declared Fox to be the media arm of the Republican party . Here’s a chart comparing network ratings from the period 9/28/2009-10/11/09, which is when Anita Dunn slammed the network, and the two weeks after that (“post feud”). The numbers on the bottom right of this chart show the sequential gain for all demos (+9%( and the 25-54 year old demo (+14%).

Since the White House ‘war on Fox’ began two weeks ago, Fox News ratings are up nine percent.  Pundits from the left and the right advised the White House that an attack on a news organization would only backfire.  It appears the pundits were right. This week, when Fox was excluded from the interview schedule, the other networks protested.  The reason may be out of honor for the first amendment or self presurvation as the same treatment could be afforded them if they don’t hold the Obama policy line.

It’s a nine-percent bump in the two weeks since Anita Dunn’s whine heard ’round the world — in terms of overall audience. Among the coveted 25-54 demographic? A 14-percent bump. Good work, Barry. People keep telling me that this PR offensive by the White House benefits both sides but I don’t see how that’s true. If the goal is to contain Fox by framing the stories it breaks — Van Jones, ACORN, etc — as somehow illegitimate, then every tenth of a point that Fox’s ratings go up undermines that goal.

Yes, Mao Tse Tung and Mother Theresa. Not two people you often hear coupled together, right? Or at least, that’s what Anita Dunn, White House Communications Director said when she listed them as two of her favorite political philosophers: The third lesson and tip actually come from two of my favorite political philosophers: Mao Tse-tung and Mother Teresa . Not often coupled with each other. But the two people I turn to most ….

When the White House claimed that Fox News wasn’t a news organization, and at best was an “arm of the Republican party,” I cheered. Anyone who’s watched Fox News at any time in the past several years knows full well that Fox News is anything but news and is essentially nothing more than a video version of many right-wing talk radio stations that claim to “say what everyone is thinking” and “not be a part of the liberal media” (you know, that liberal media that depends on things like facts and journalistic integrity) so the call won’t come as any surprise.

By Laura Pappano Is it a problem that White House b-ball games with the president are male-only affairs? Or that, according to the New York Times story yesterday that since taking office President Obama has played 23 rounds of golf – and none (based on records kept by a CBS reporter) included women? (The first female aide, Melody C. Barnes, apparently played yesterday.) President Obama finds the whole matter annoying and White House communications director Anita Dunn is quoted as saying that the ball-playing “is just part of the culture that I am excluded from.

On June 13 , 2008 , Barack Obama used this line at a political rally in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania : “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun . Because from what I understand, folks in Philly like a good brawl. I’ve seen Eagles fans.” Last week he declared war on FOX News.  Pulled out the big guns, sending out his top people, Anita Dunn, Axelrod, and Emanuel, to try to intimidate and isolate and black list FOX, then weighing in himself by endorsing the tactics.  Big, important government business.

World Net Daily spent all last week trumpeting a story about how the Council on American-Islamic Relations planted Muslims on Capitol Hill, disguised as human interns.  This shocking fact was brought to the attention of the American people when Representatives John Shadegg (R-AZ), Paul Broun (R-GA) and Sue Myrick (R-NC) called a press conference to reveal the conspiracy, and to demand that the Sergeant-at-Arms develop a test to determine which, if any, House interns are secretly Cylons.  The
