The Usual Suspects Excuse Presidential Dithering Monday, the 57th day since Gen. McChrystal’s submitted his Afghanistan assessment, recommendations, and urgent  troop request, President Obama and his advisers held yet another “high level” meeting (#6) to consider the matter. While officials insist there is no possibility of  abandoning the effort there seems to be a real possibility of an extended, Vietnam style stalemate and lack of commitment to success.

Yesterday, I wrote a piece regarding the attempt by the New York Times to puff-up and portray Obama as a chest-beating, alpha-male machine. That was just the half of it.Aside from the shameless and embarrassing man-crush that Times author Mark Leibovich exudes toward Obama, the article suggests that some female colleagues are a bit miffed, feeling as though some sort of gender-bias exists within the White House clan.The Obama White House has been battling a boys’ club image .

Politico: U.S. Chamber of Commerce President Tom Donohue says a campaign by the White House and its allies to undermine his $200-million-a-year association has largely failed — and actually has helped raise even more money for its pro-business efforts. In a 75-minute interview with POLITICO, Donohue dismissed recent defections by Apple and at least four other companies, which quit over the Chamber’s opposition to Democratic climate change legislation — as essentially meaningless.

In today’s edition of “Things That Are Impossible To Overstate, According To The News Media,” we return to that years-old question of whether Barack Obama either modestly dislikes women, or hates every single woman’s fucking guts. This was a hot topic last year when Barack Obama defeated a woman in a presidential primary, a heinous display of chauvinism. Why not crap on Susan B. Alonzo Monk pleads guilty Part 1   I was preparing an article on Alonzo Monk, former chief of staff for Rod Blagojevich, who just pled guilty to corruption charges. Instead of just writing the simple story, a story barely covered by the press, I wanted to provide more background information and the depth of involvement in crime and corruption in Chicago and Illinois and how this is also an indictment of Barack Obama. As in any story involving Obama, there is just too much to write about in one article.

Following up on my article … apparently His Majesty has decided, while women ain’t got no game… they must be able to play Golf . But today’s round of golf comes after some questions raised by the media about what some critics say is a too-fratty atmosphere in the White House, a place where the president’s closest advisers — chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, senior adviser David Axelrod, and press secretary Robert Gibbs — are known by women at the White House as “the Boys.” That’s a perception fed with lower-level aides like personal assistant Reggie Love and trip director Marvin Nicholson who have close personal relationships with the president and play basketball and golf with him.
