Just read on Drudge that the PelosiCare bill is 1,990 pages long! Let’s see. . . 435 members of the House 100 members of the Sentate 1 occupant of the White House (unless he’s playing golf) That’s 536 copies (at minimum) x 1,990 pgs each = 1, 066,640 pages!!! Or 2,133 packs of standard printer/copier paper. How many trees is that?

I wouldn’t say any of the Saw movies are good, except maybe the first, which is moderately clever. The rest are pretty bad. Many reviewers have picked up on the fact that the sixth one is a commentary on the evils of the insurance industry. Most seem to think the politicization of this film renders it more cheesy and awful then the rest, but I believe the Jigsaw Killer is just the right spokesman for Obamacare.

Long-time listener, first-time blogger… Back in April, Vice President Biden uttered dire warnings about catching Swine Flu in subways and commercial airplanes. Per the usual pattern, the White House quickly apologized for “Amtrak Joe’s” remarks. But now, just a few months later, the President also has declared a national emergency . The H1N1 is spreading, and instead of 120 million expected doses, only 11 million shipped last week.

Excuse me, the competitive option. This comes from a source on Capitol Hill, where Nancy Pelosi had called a press conference to announce her version of the health-care system overhaul today. Consider this a preview of how ObamaCare will work in the real world, once the competitive option drives insurers out of the health care market and ensures absolutely no competition to the de facto single-payer system most ObamaCare advocates not-so-secretly desire:Who will get priority service? Those with

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi unveiled health care reform bill that has already been dubbed “Pelosicare”.Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, unveiled a retooled health care overhaul plan today intended to bridge differences among Democrats and open a history-making floor debate on extending health insurance to nearly all Americans, Fox News reports.Californian Democrat Pelosi said that the House’s version of a health care reform bill will include a government-run insurance option and extend coverage to 36 million uninsured Americans.

Here’s another indicator of the challenges of navigating GOP primary politics: The leading GOP Senate candidate in blue Illinois, Obama’s home state, is running an ad against Obamacare, attacking it in harsh terms as he fends off a challenge from his right. GOP Rep Mark Kirk , who’s said to be the national GOP’s top choice for Senate in 2010, is out with a new radio spot — sent over by a source — presenting himself as a leading foe of Obama’s proposal for a health care “government takeover”: Kirk’s tacking right on health care appears to reflect the fact that conservative activists have largely rallied behind a challenger from his right, developer Patrick Hughes.

This is what life will be like if you get sick under Obamacare. The democrats resurrected government-run healthcare that is designed to crush private insurance, stifle medical innovation and tax the holy bejeezus out of you and your progeny. The 894 Billion dollar program (just for starting it up!) can be downloaded here . But be warned, its 2000 pages long. Michelle Malkin has more. Remember the long lines of people trying to get a flu shot? Now imagine that those shots are distributed with all of the efficiency of a DMV visit.

Assuming that ObamaCare is passed into law in America, people may in the future be calling the ObamaCare Line as the first step in receiving medical treatment. Here’s what such a phone call might sound like: The ObamaCare Line – Enforcement Of Obama’s Policies Well, as over-the-top and hyperbolic as this video by Concerned Women For America is, mandatory health insurance is part of the proposed ObamaCare.

Obamacare promises to make healthcare more affordable. But the facts argue otherwise. WSJ: How will ObamaCare affect insurance premiums in the private health-care markets? Despite indignant Democratic denials, the near-certainty is that their plan will cause costs to rise across the board. The latest data on this score come from a series of state-level studies from the insurance company WellPoint Inc.

We’ve been talking about the liberal/progressive/socialist movement for some time now. But this morning’s Democrat and Chronicle makes a direct link between the “progressive” democrats and the socialists (just in case ObamaCare wasn’t proof enough): Rochester police said they charged the four with third-degree criminal trespass, a misdemeanor, after they allegedly went into the building to deliver a letter to MVP executives and refused requests to leave.

Visit the federal government web site for the recently-concluded “Cash for Clunkers” program and you’ll find the program described as “enormously successful” (see graphic above). Contrary to that claim, however, Edmunds.com research revealed yesterday that the program, which enabled a car buyer to pay as much as $4,500 less for a new vehicle, actually cost taxpayers $24,000 per vehicle sold.

Nancy Pelosi and the House Democratic Caucus will unveil their version of ObamaCare this morning, and the New York Times reports some significant changes made in the last few days. First, the “public option,” which had changed to the quasi-Orwellian name of “competitive option,” now goes the full 1984 to the “consumer option.” Gone, though, is the reliance on Medicare rates for the government-funded coverage plan, as moderate Democrats from rural districts insisted that hospitals would go out

Remember what happened the last time Democrats tried to take over control of the nation’s health care system? Some three-dozen members of Congress lost their jobs as a result of the 1994 election. Why? Because they failed to heed the calls of Americans attending town hall meetings. Sound familiar? Click here or on the American Future Fund graphic at right to see the names and faces of 36 members of Congress who became “victims” of the taxpayers’ wrath.

Day By Day by Chris Muir The idea that private practice physicians and dentists would welcome Obamacare is a MYTH . Why would anyone consent to pay MORE taxes and see the public receive less benefits and rationed health care? It doesn’t make sense. The White Coat ceremony at the White House was a joke and all symbolism over substance. The actual physicians in the audience must have been cringing as the white coats were being handed out. Plus Ca Change from the Obama White House.

-By Ann “Babe” Huggett The terror of ghoulies and ghosties and long-legged beasties and things that go “Bump” in the night hasn’t got anything on the real life fright Americans are experiencing nine months into the Obama Administration. One could look at the title of this article and substitute Thanksgiving and/or Christmas too because it is only going to get worse if Obamacare is passed. The “Pedophile Protection Act” just got signed into law as a rider to a defense spending bill.

Your one stop pundit shop. Andrew Kessinger wants real action taken on gay rights: It is wrong to ask gay Americans to wait until every future war is won, every societal ill is treated and every business is booming before being granted equal protection under law; it is equally disturbing to think that today, one must be a victim of a hate crime before receiving such consideration. Is it too much to ask for more, sooner rather than later? Robert Kagan is still peddling war with Iran.

Here’s what such a phone call might sound like: The ObamaCare Line – Juvenile Abortion Services Well, as over-the-top and hyperbolic as this video by Concerned Women For America is, there is no reason to expect that ObamaCare wouldn’t provide such clandestine abortion services – referrals is more accurate – since referring teen girls to Planned Parenthood without parental knowledge is currently legal.

Holman Jenkins writes : It’s no exaggeration to say the Senate health-care bill taking shape is the equivalent of climbing aboard a train about to plunge into a canyon and deciding what it really needs is a bomb on board. Ouch. That’s one of the reasons I’m very glad I’m not a Democrat anymore.

I think it is important that Obama be truthfull about the costs of his program. He has proposed extending coverage to a group with much higher costs than the average and yet he says his plan will reduce costs.
That is why people dont trust him or the goverment.
Obama needs to highlight the specific cost savings in his plan.
